Making Your Man Miss You ~ Work At Home Businesses

Hey Loves,

I know, I know. I've been out of the loop for quite a while. I'm still plugging away at my book. Before I put it out there, it must be perfect.  Well, as close to perfect as one can get. You know, I'm sure there are a few things will be overlooked. But, my goal is to have zero misspellings.

Damn ADD again.

I'm going off base here. Now, today's post is inspired by a friend of mine. who's been in a long distance relationship for the better half of seven years. We went out this past weekend, had a few drinks a discussed how relationships can change. You know how it goes, in the beginning the guy sweeps you off your feet and woos the living hell out of you. You're gifted with flowers, jewelry, candies, etc. You get the picture. Then, after some time together you may find that you both are so comfortable with each other.  (Nothing wrong with that, but you do want to maintain that spark.) Communication my cease and you kind of seem like you've become strangers over the years. Wow, how did this all happen?

Now I've been married for six years and as we all know, men are from Mars, women are from Venus.  This is so true! We can be a little more emotional than men are. Also, with every day life we sometimes forget the little things which mean a lot. This really goes for both sexes.  Want to put the mystery and spark back into your relationship? Well, here's a few things I've tried....and believe me.  It works!

Okay, so I've noticed I'm totally off base, but some of the tips below are great for starting your own business. So, I guess this blog is basically killing two birds with one stone.  Remember, these tips are for married women, and those who are in long distance relationships.

Staying Busy as A Bee

1.  Sure, it's nice to get a phone call, text, or email from you man during the day. If you've discovered he isn't emailing or calling the way he used to, don't send numerous emails to him.  Make him touch base with you. This makes it seem like you've got way more time on your hands than you can shake a stick at. Men love women who are unavailable. Send one or two emails a day, that's it.  Even if you aren't all that busy, he doesn't have to know it. You don't want to be idly sitting by your laptop waiting on that email from him to appear. He'll wonder what you're up to and will contact you. Men always seem to want what's out of reach. Be sure to have an active life outside your relationship and not make yourself available to him much. He'll miss you more.

2.  What if you're suddenly getting one or two line emails instead of several paragraphs? Okay, this may mean your man may be in a rush for meetings, and things of that nature. But if you're a woman who desires things to be the way they used to, use  the advice above. Don't nag or wear your heart on your sleeve. Remember, you need to be mysterious and have him wondering what you've been up to during the day. Men are explorers by nature, so the less he knows the more he wants to know, so you'll be sure to pique his curiosity when you're not revealing your inner thoughts.

3.   Join a gym. There's so much to do in life and re-sculpting your body. Design an awesome weight lifting program several times a week and keep yourself in shape. Don't worry. You're not going to bulk up because you're lifting weights. The only way we can do this is if we start taking steroids. I love working out with heavy weights. Challenge yourself.

Keep The Sexiness In Your Relationship!

1.  Ladies, Don't get too used to wearing those sweats all the time.  Yes, I love wearing my workout gear, but from time to time I don my sexy maxi dresses. There's nothing wrong with strutting around the house showing a little cleavage. Give him a mouth watering treat.

2.  Lingerie, lingerie, and more lingerie.

I get bored easily so, I've been known to take a few shopping trips to my fav stores. I love going to Fredericks of Hollywood and a few other lingerie shops in the area. Sometimes I'll take a day and go shopping in the BWI area.

Collect lingerie, have your garters, French bras, and all your other unmentionables in various colors that compliment your skin tone. Basic black his hot, but red, white and Navy Blue are always hotter!

3.  Get a mani-pedi. There's nothing like having someone do your hands and feet a few times a month.

4.  Go to the salon and change your do.

5.  Even though I may run a few errands, I'll sometimes apply makeup, now we're talking foundation, eye makeup, lips, etc. Go to the malls and have a makeover.

Got a Creative Gene? Start Your Own Business!

I can't stress this enough. Start your own business!  Everyone has a talent. I have a lot of friends who are stay at home moms, but that's all they do is stay at home, maintaining the house, running errands, etc. I've seen them lose their identities and that's just unacceptable.

1.  Hell, take an art, candle, or soap making class. If you're basically a homemaker and don't work at all, you may need a hobby.

2.  Natural hair care lines are booming because we just can't seem to trust those commercial products. With all the parabens, sulfates, and crap we can't pronounce, you don't know what you're putting on your body.

3.  Web Design. Yes, I've designed a few websites for local businesses around my area. It's good cash on the side. I've also designed a few covers as well. Now, I'm no means an artist, but Adobe Photoshop helps tremendously. But, this is one of many gigs you can do to keep yourself busy.

4.  Become an author!  Yes, the publishing industry is booming, there are literally thousands of new ebook authors out there. Nowadays, it's easy to self publish. Just make sure you hire a professional editor, formatter, graphic artist, and copywriter.

5.  Sell some jewelry!  What?

Okay, if you're creative enough, why not sell your own jewelry? You can purchase the necessary items at any arts and craft store. Earrings are a cinch to make as well as necklaces.  I enjoy wire wrapping stones and making little pendants.

Don't like making your own jewelry?  There are many places you can become an independent rep like Silpada and a few others. Earn money while hosting these parties.  I've been a Silpada rep since last year. Now, the money isn't enough for a full time career, but it's a fab way of earning some quick cash on the side. I usually get my girlfriends together once a month, sometimes every other month when Da Hubby is with the guys. We have wine. Yes, that' makes it fun! LOL   I love wine, but that's another story.  But during the day if some of my girls come over, it's usually Lattes or coffee because I've got to pick up the teenager from the bus stop.

Makeup

1.  You can start your own makeup business too. Lipsticks, eyeshadows, lip glosses. The possibilities are endless.

2.  Don't want to make your own? There's always Avon and Mary Kay.  I used to be reps for both but for me I wasn't too good at selling make up. The jewelry I've invested in usually has people in public asking me about it and I give them my card. But I'm not one to actively pursue someone. I let them come to me.   ; )

And you're probably wondering why I do so many thing. Well, I'm a Sagittarius, and we like to stay busy. Plus, I get bored easily. I enjoy dabbling and having something different to do each day.

And that's it ladies.  Oh, and make sure you register your business with your local federal agency to file those taxes! You don't want the IRS breathing down your neck.
